Nice place. Beautiful terrace on the floodplains and IJssel. Delicious pancakes for a reasonable price. Not too greasy, not too big, just right. Delicious! Drinks are also great there! G&Ts are delicious and so are the bitterballen. Don't burn your mouth (like me). Good terrace with a view of the IJssel and the Olsterveer. Also adhere to the corona measures. Went here for dinner with a large group to celebrate a birthday. Pancakes are quite tasty, but unfortunately this was the last time for us. Ditto for the prices of the ice creams at the hatch and the items supplied for it. * Service. Staff (with a few exceptions) may/must be trained much better if that is at all possible. Are chatting more with each other (in an almost full restaurant) than paying attention to whether there are still people with empty glasses, or whether they can pick up something at the table (e.g. empty bottles, glasses were just left standing, the table was therefore standing). way too full). When one of the children in our party knocked over a glass with a drink, they looked at it and did not come to help with a tea towel, dishcloth or the like. Then I think you can do a number of things: take fewer reservations, offer a smaller, fixed menu for large groups or buy a larger chip shop. But pointing to the customer as the cause of less good service does not seem to me to be the solution. * The play scene. Seems like a nice idea, a central place where children can play. But heavy wooden blocks on a wooden floor really make a lot of noise. Every time children decided to build a tower and push it over, the entire dining room was startled by the noise. I would say: buy some soft plastic blocks and improve the acoustics :D.
